Over in Baghdad, Iraqi they are killing the stray dogs left and right. With an estimate of over one million dogs running free though out the city the authorities have taken matters in their own hands and have been shooting and poisoning some fifty eight thousand dogs already ... You would have thought that they would have tried to do this in a more humane way and even tried to work on adoption of some these dogs. I'm Shyla, the "farm girl" puppy. My mother was a stray dog that had some type of retriever in her, and my new pack thinks that my dad was a border collie even though nobody has met him. Nola is a stray we found in New Orleans. Though we were sad to take her away from her home, she doesn't seem to mind leaving the heat! This little pup is always looking for a shady spot. She's very independent and quite the daredevil. The only thing that scares her is a flight of stairs. She is such a delight to have around, always interested in something! Delta Airlines lost Josiah’s Dog

I found this article in The Consumerist this morning and it just broke my heart.  While vacationing in Mexico, Josiah and his girlfriend rescued a little stray dog.  They took him to the vet for his shots, got him groomed, and had his eye infection treated.  He was such a good dog.  Not aggressive, affectionate, [ ... ] ...

About three to four times a day we take a quick walk, to potty and stretch our legs ... First we head down the lane ... Passing the horse pasture (with the horses :). Lots of good smells around here ...
