I brought a new foster dog home on Friday. Funny how when it rains, it pours ... Shortly after I made arrangements to go pick up this dog, I mentioned it to another volunteer from the Humane Society who told me about a Dalmation that I should foster (I know you're probably reading this) ... then, the next day I receive a call from a veterinarian in the area about a Border Collie mix at ...
oh the drama!!! “what is it NOW, goodbear?!” you ask, exasperated. well, turns out the running lifestyle has taken its toll on our dainty border collie friend, pickles. after intervals for almost 3 miles, she was spent and looks like she has worn her toenails too short. (picky may have to jog in booties or [ ... ] ...

I'm Shyla, the "farm girl" puppy. My mother was a stray dog that had some type of retriever in her, and my new pack thinks that my dad was a border collie even though nobody has met him. I am now eight weeks old and love following my pack mates around, barking at nothing, and laying on my back in strange positions on cool tile floors. Mommy drove all the way from New York to North Carolina to come get me! Even though I was shy at first, I follow mommy wherever she goes because I can tell she loves me oh so much. She tells me my sad eyes make her feel guilty, so if I make a no-no it's hard to stay mad for too long! I go on an adventure just about every day. When I grow up big and

Bodie was adopted from Alpha Dog rescue in Southern Maine. We are told that he came from a high kill shelter in Kentucky. Because of this murky past, we can only suspect his breed to be a Border collie / Labrador retriever mix. These days Bodie is beyond pampered. He adores his kitty friend, Hallow, and loves to run around. Some day we hope to train him to be a fly ball champion ... Click for more pictures and comments ...
Liza Bean is the apple of my eye. She is the sweetest, most playful puppy in the world! Liza is approximately seven weeks old and is a mutt. I think she may have some Border Collie in her. I adopted Liza from a local animal rescue group. When I went there, it wasn't my intention to adopt her; I was there on an appointment to see a one-year-old yellow Lab. But when I walked past Liza's adorable litter of seven puppies, I was hooked. Liza was the first to come up and I just knew she had that
