Hi, my name is Mika and I was born on January 8, 2010. I was adopted into a wonderful, loving home. I have great new parents and lots of aunts and uncles who love me very much. I have a new brother, Reno, and he is a miniature pincher. He is 10 years old and sometimes he's pretty grouchy. I guess he is more like a grandpa to me than a brother. I also have a new friend called Bebo. He is a love bird. He sure does chirp a lot! I have a big backyard and it is all fenced so I can run and jump and
Hi everyone! My name is Nala and I was born in Glouster, Ohio. Once I showed my human my sweet, adorable face, I knew I had her hooked. I love to run around in the yard chasing feet, leaves and soccer balls. I also love going to the park to play with other dogs. My human was so proud of me--I walked on a leash my second day out and did fantastic! I see big things in my future ... Click for more pictures and comments ...
We get to play with our brudder all the time ... That's always fun, especially for me Pinot. We chase together, sniff each other (true!), dive to a pile of blanky on the bed, do hide'n'seek and make ourself laugh ... :)Then when he wants to do something by himself, we're by his side and observe him quietly. "Oh No ... he's not supposed to stand up on the furniture!! Don't let our mom and dad see this!" A few seconds after ... (Pinot) "Sissy sissy sissssssssssy ... wake up!!" ... Yes, pup
woo! ... I've noticed that a lot of humans are upset that a bunch of humans in Congress approved some bill having something to do with human health care. Obviously what would make the American unhappy humans happier is if animals got involved with reforming their health care. I have been working on an ad campaign. Here's a preview: ... I will need some input from my dog, cat, and goat friends on how they would like to mold human health care. But I have a few ideas ... Improve waiting rooms - I
Monty is a Mini Australian Shepherd. He is eight weeks old and a extremely happy puppy. He is very smart, and picks up things quickly, learning "sit" and "shake a paw" and walking with his leash beside you, all in the first week of having him. He is also the bravest puppy I have ever come across, and things almost never scare him. Monty is SUPER friendly with people and loves to give kisses. He also loves to lay in your lap and get his belly rubbed ... Click for more pictures and comments ...
Dory, the snoring great dane, is only 4 months old with blue merle markings. Dory was befittingly named after the fish in Finding Nemo due to her happy, optimistic personality and short attention span. Dory's paws are ginormous and we expect her to exceed 120 pounds by the time she is full grown. Dory is not a morning dog. She needs to be pushed out of bed for her morning walk. She also only likes to walk if it leads to her favorite place: the doggie park. As with most great danes, Dory does not
SUMMARY: I'm still likin' this no-agility thing ... This weekend is my club's--The Bay Team's--CPE trial in Santa Rosa. About 2 hours from here. Would've meant another friday gone (packing, going to bed early), getting up at 4 a.m., competing all day, staying overnight--you know the drill ... Well, for one thing, I'm glad I had already decided not to go, because I've been so sick this week that I'd have had to cancel at the last minute and lost my entry fees ... But, well, it's a custom-made
SUMMARY: Not the best health week ever. One tries to do what one can to live a healthier life, given that one has exceeded half a century on this earth (could it be?! doesn't seem possible in those terms) ... Plan A: Vacation So, for example, one might go down to Carmel for a couple of days of wonderful long multi-mile walks in the perfect weather. Despite a sore throat waking one up during the night a couple of nights in a row, because surely that's just the change in the weather, maybe
taperjeangurl: ... When I was little there was a puppy store that I would make my mom take me to and in that puppy store was a cute little Corgi, I named her Vada (after my favorite character from my favorite movie, My Girl). My grown up self does not approve of puppy stores because they are cruel, but 9 year old Becca did not know this and I would beg my mom to take me to the Puppy Patch. I spent one whole summer loving this dog and begging my mom and dad to buy her for me. Yes, we had a dog
